Nestled in the heart of London, the Ministry of Magic is the governing body of the magical community, it's leader is Lord Voldemort -- that's right, the dark wizard Harry Potter was supposed to defeat. The Ministry of Magic has become his lair, and his Death Eaters protect him, making it nearly impossible to breach the building.

Hogsmeade is now basically a ghost town, as most people have gone into hiding, however, there are still a few shops open for business, but you never know who you'll come across since the proprietors are obviously in support of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.

Diagon Alley is now just a vacant alley. However, many of those in the Order have created a small 'black market' where they buy supplies in order to survive. They only do their shopping in shadows, and behind closed doors, as getting caught by a Death Eater patrolling the area is highly likely.

King's Cross Station still exists, but platform 9 3/4 has been completely destroyed and hasn't been repaired. There is no longer an Express that takes students to Hogwarts, and unless something changes soon there won't be.

The once acclaimed school is now closed until further notice. It is now being used as a safe haven for those that do not support Voldemort and his Death Eaters. It is heavily charmed with protection spells, and many attempts have been made to get through those spells, but with little luck. Voldemort is focusing all his energy on regaining control of the castle. (Read more in plot).

Azkaban Prison was once used to hold Death Eaters and other dark wizards that broke the law of the magical world. Now it's used as a torture chamber for those that defy Voldemort and members of the Order that are caught. It's also used as a type of meeting place for Death Eaters.

Since Voldemort took over the Magical World, a lot of witches and wizards have left the London area, and moved elsewhere, and are living like Muggles in hopes that they won't be found by Voldemort. If you've decided to accept the doomed fate of the magical world, and didn't stick around, you'll find wherever it is you need to go here.

Everyone needs a home, even in dark times. Some people decided to stay and stick it out, while others are in hiding, using any means to survive. Whether you've barricaded your house or living in a tent, this is the residential area for wizards and muggles alike.
